I have been thinking a CD collection would be interesting..although I doubt it would be very profitable..but maybe loving hands at home could be done with people submitting songs in good enough sound quality.

1. When the tide is out table is set..outstanding song by Brian R. of BC
2. The oyster shanty on the Robert Bruce thread
3. I have a couple..oystershell road and oysterman..0h yes, crab shakers and one about crabbing on Christmas Eve.
4. Acres of clams.
5. Oyster girl on some threads.
6. Molly Malone.

Probably lots more...lobstering?

In John Foreman's fine version of The Winkle Song [which he attributes to Trad], he got his pennyworth of winkles at "Mother McShrinkles's". It is on his fine old vinyl LP "The 'Ouses In Between" (Reality Records, Watford; RY 1004; 1966).

{Great Music-Hall record ~~ best version ever heard of The 4-Horse Sharrybang. Don't know if ever re-recorded or where you could get a copy. Don't make an offer for mine: not for sale at any price!}

2. "The Geoduck Song," as sung by Fred Penner. It's a kind of clam and it's pronounced Gooeyduck and it's a lot of fun to sing.

I think the best shellfish song was done by Arlo when he made a few changes in an old chantey and changed it to

well, better late than never. i am actually now going to do the shellfish cd. it will be serious. I am not going to include cutesy songs, especially parodies, which this topic lends itself to. please let me know of any suggestions that have not been suggested already. I also will continue my policy of no copyrights since it hems me in at times. Would like more international content and songs in other languages.
