So.......what time does it kick off please - 8.30 as per the website or 9pm as per the OP? And, equally important when you've got an hour's drive to get home, what time does it finish? :-)

BTW Dulcimer Player/John & Jean - if you become a member of Mudcat (free and no strings) you can:-

1) have this kind of conversation by PM and avoid clogging up your thread or, even better,
2) Start a Permathread which one of you can moderate and edit yourself, and which will be an easily-found resource for keeping your club in the view of 'Catters (check out the 'Gainsborough Folk Club' Permathread, for instance).

We usually arrive around 8.30 and start around 9, depends how many come if we look to have quite a few singers we might start earlier. Finishing around 11.30, we have a 25 min drive and are usually home around midnight, by the time we've said goodnight and got stuff back in the car.

last night was brilliant 12 taking part with 3 shots each and a fantastic supper too

Have updated the website pictures with a few shots that I took - more to come from other people who took a few on the night

BACKWOODSMAN We travel probably the furthest (from shirebrook)and make it home for midnight

No problem if anyone leaves early - we don't take prisoners ..lol

All very relaxed and stress free atmosphere - just as folk should be
