(I SWEAR I tried to input this info the other day but I can't find evidence)
I moved into a really sweet log cabin in the woods last October and immediately thought" House Concerts here". Other fish needed fried but then John Flynn emailed his fans, certainly I'm one, and told of a HC he was doing in Drexel Hill (where I used to hang out), so, I replied that he might consider doing one with me if in the area. His agent replied that he would be here April 16th and this series was born. I have Steve and Cindy coming May 16th after John, then Cliff Eberhardt, Rik Palieri,Magpie and lots more. My websites for it are www.folkmusic8760.com , myspace.com/gunks-house-concerts and others on reverbnation and facebook. Live music for the masses - 25 good souls at a time. My email is redmanjohn@yahoo.com

Thanks, Mary. The first concert is about sold out and getting interest in Steve and Cindy already. Went to the Bruce Molsky concert last night and worked the crowd. Work work work but Bruce was great.

I sure am glad I finally got into this. I have nationally known artists, and some I don't even know yet, expressing interest in playing here. It MUST be the incredible Shawangunk Mountains above my house.

It is also the quality of the performers that you are booking, not only their reputation. People who come to these concerts are seriously intersted in the music. It is not like in the clubs where they go primarily to drink and the music is just an afterthought.

Good luck, John! My living room has become my favorite venue, and other people's living rooms second favorite. I will be e-mailing you about coordinating house concerts here and there.
