Mr. Miller,
I know this is a long shot, but I want to purchase an autoharp by tomorrow. It's my mom's 79th birthday and we are throwing her a surprise party. I thought one had arrived locally, but when the autoharp box was opened there were two ukeleles inside. Do you have any ideas for me? Thank you. Mary (I live in Park Ridge too)

I can guarantee that you will learn a lot from Adam. He is a folkie who has done
his homework. You will come away knowing how to get started and play some songs.
I am really glad Adam is doing this. He has much to offer.

Autoharp Workshop (Beginning-Intermediate)

Time:   1:00PM - - Saturday, May 15th, 2010

Location:   Private Residence, Park Ridge, IL 60068 (Chicago Area)

Folksinger and autoharp virtuoso Adam Miller will teach a three-hour hands-on autoharp workshop for beginning to intermediate players.

This informal hands-on workshop will develop and improve your ability to accompany singers and fingerpick familiar melodies on the autoharp.

By playing along and learning by ear, we'll address rhythm, timing, chord selection, picks, dynamics, and a myriad of right and left hand techniques for diatonic and chromatic autoharp. Workshop song handouts (in the Key of C, F and G major) include waltzes, folksongs, fiddle tunes, and ballads.
