Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Angel walking home by Kevin Faherty From: Jim Dixon Date: 22 Mar 10 - 04:05 PM It's on a various-artists compilation called "Singer-Songwriter Heaven: The Songs of Kevin Faherty" (Gamblers Grace Music, 2009). I think I heard this in a sample: ...angels walking home. Jamie had the eye to size up situations Like a pool shark round the table, dark configurations And dancing through illusions of impossible angles, She'd focus on the straight line.... |

Subject: Lyr Add: ANGEL WALKING HOME (Kevin Faherty) From: lillyruben Date: 24 Mar 10 - 08:16 AM ANGEL WALKING HOME Jaime lived her life like a punch line from a joke. Didn't always get it, but I laughed when she spoke. Jaime had her finger on the pulse of a better way. Most vital sign was the smile on her face. Ready, brother. Here's another angel walking home. Jaime had the eye to size up situations Like a pool shark around a table. Tough configurations and Dancing through illusions of impossible angles. She'd focus on the straight line Then she'd hold the tape. Ready, brother. Here's another angel walking home. Jaime's final dance is a horizontal stance. She just read the signs. There's no use to climb When you live on heaven's edge. Friends check out of life Like it's a grand hotel. Memories are postcards that say the trip went well. Missed in all our travels, when the journey's through. May we all reserve a room from Jaime's point of view. Ready, brother. Here's another angel walking home. |
Subject: Lyr Req: ANGEL WALKING HOME (Kevin Faherty) From: GUEST Date: 15 May 10 - 05:34 PM Hey thanks for the interest in my song. Was doing a little "ego-surfing" and stumbled across this discussion. Found the original lyrics on my computer. There's a word or two here and there that are a little different than Diana's version but basically she nailed it. At some point we'll get all the lyrics and chords up on the website. Don't have my version of it ready yet but at some point I'll have a MYSPACE page and I'll post it. My e-mail is at the bottom if anyone wishes to contact me. Thanks, Kevin Faherty ANGEL WALKING HOME 1. Jamie lived her life like the punch line from a joke. I didn't always get it, but I laughed when she spoke. Jamie had her finger on the pulse of a better way. Most vital sign: the smile on her face. CHORUS: Get ready, brother. Here's another Angel walking home. 2. Jamie had the eye to size up situations Like a pool shark 'round a table of tough configurations, Dancing through illusions of impossible angles, She'd focus on the straight lines, then she'd own the table. CHORUS: Get ready, brother. Here's another Angel walking home. BRIDGE: Jamie's final dance was a horizontal step. She just read the sign: "There's no need to climb When you've lived on heaven's edge." 3. Friends check out of life like it's a grand hotel. Sweet memories are postcards that say the trip went well. Resting on our travels and when the journey's through, May we all reserve a room from Jamie's point of view. CHORUS: Get ready, brother. Here's another Angel walking home. Get ready, brother. Here's another Angel walking home. Get ready, brother. Here's another Angel walking home. C Kevin Faherty, Well Versed Of Chorus Music Kevfah@aol.com Singersongwriterheaven.com |
