Goaded by a message posted in another thread, dealing with ads that appear, magically, to reflect 'catter's interests, I've been challenged to start this thread.

I reckon I'd include Bob Hudson's "Girls in our town" with the backing used by Margret Roadknight but that might be a bit abstruse for those of you from north of the equator.

What would you include on your own Karaoke CD?

Cheers, Rowan

Since most folk singers can perform without any accompanying music, how about a silent track, or just a few people chatting at the bar in the background?

If it's Karoake, shouldn't it be a DC?

Unfortunately, topsie, there appears to be a copyright on silent tracks; that's if you take notice of the art music world and their publishers. As one who started out unaccompanied and then got into uninstrumented harmonies and only later started playing (and singing) with instruments I note your first phrase.

But I was thinking along the lines of selecting items we could sing (or play) with those backings done by others that we would like to have.

Cheers, Rowan
