Subject: English tunes session moves to Lewes From: Valmai Goodyear Date: 23 Mar 10 - 06:11 AM The English tunes session which used to be at the Trevor Arms in Glynde, Sussex, UK on the first Sunday afternoon of the month is moving to The Black Horse , 55, Western Road, Lewes BN7 1RS UK from Sunday 4th. April. It will start earlier, at 2.30 p.m., and finish at 5.30 p.m. as before. Meic Goodyear will run it in April, but would like to step down and is handing it over to Bryan TheSnail Creer after that. There is ample parking in the grounds of County Hall opposite the Black Horse. The other music events held at the Trevor Arms are unaffected - it's just that the Sunday afternoon one has fallen victim to a large increase in the food trade following another change of management. Other free sessions in Sussex, Kent and Surrey are on Bryan's very useful web page in the Lewes Saturday Folk Club website. Valmai |
