Just thought I would submit a progress report. It is coming along very nicely. We have all but two songs at least mostly recorded and there will probably be over 15 songs..all about tugboats from Alaska to California in USA. They are just wonderful songs and very powerful, one and all. Overall it is a vigorous collection of music, as would be expected, but there are some more reflective songs as well. It should be out at Folklife in Seattle so watch for it.

I am not the one in charge of sales etc., but I imagine we will have lists etc. of people who will be interested. I also hope, but don't know what arrangements will be made, that we can sell on Mudcat. There will also be ways to buy directly.

A bit later you will be able to buy from any of the performers on it if you see them selling it at their concerts etc.

The people singing on it are the same ones you see at maritime festivals here, there and everywhere and are just really great musicians and interested in seeing this project flourish. Proceeds will go to further maritime music recordings, and we have the next one or two planned already (well, I hope so anyway).

We have not really discussed prepurchasing for a discount, but I will bring up the subject.

I would be interested in any ideas of marketing etc., or contacts of people with gift stores etc. that might want to resell.

I also hope we can get a Made in Washington label Has anyone done that ever?

Anyway, just trying to whet your appetities. Great father's day present, or buy a bunch for Christmas. mg
