Hi All

I am currently updating the Mummers Teams section of the Yorkshire Folk Arts directory at http://www.yorkshire-folk-arts.com
Entries are free and open to all folk dance teams in Yorkshire and what used to be Humberside ( North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire).
I use the term mummers to include Pace Eggers, Plough Plays and Plough Jags etc.
Please do not send information to this list, an online form is available at
http://www.yorkshire-folk-arts.com/directory/form.html
or contact me direct at jim@yorkshire-folk-arts.com

All the best

Jim Hancock

Oooops - the above should of course have read ...Open to all MUMMERS TEAMS in Yorkshire.... Not Dance Teams.

All the best

Thanks to jim@yorkshire-folk-arts.com for putting the Coleby Jag details into the directory on the YFA website. Lets hope we get some more mummers, jags. plough players, pace eggers to join the list

Getting the information from here might be a bit hit and miss, depending on who lurks.

The (possibly) definitive set of information is at The Master Mummers site

An excellent site with three more teams for our list.

All the best

By far and away, the most comprehensive site for all things about mummers plays and related customs is the Traditional Drama Research Group website http://www.folkplay.info/

Indeed it is very comprehensive. The two sites are closely related as the Master Mummers site is a breakaway site run by the same person who put together the Traditional Drama Research Group website.
