I searched in Google for a phrase from the lyric you posted - I think I used "patch up me and you with Duct Tape" - and looked through the links showed up.

ah..that would make sense!
I've been avoiding cabbage patches since I found out that's where babies come from..not a risk I'm interested in taking so I didn't think of looking there.

Thanks, Betty..it's been a while since I've looked at that list. The one I'm looking for doesn't seem to be there, but I did get to listen to a few that were pretty snazzy.


I can't figure out why it's so dang hard to find!
I lucked onto it before online (I've never heard it anywhere else) and can't remember what the site was called.

There's a verse with something about the public utitilities dept using it and the last verse is something about getting married and taking a roll on your honeymoon.

Those words are kind of close..but 'Duct Tape Blues' isn't the one I'm looking for. The one I want has sort of an old country sound to it more than bluesy.

It hacks me off that I've forgotten the words for such a useless gem!

When I understood how our Search works, I looked at several Duct Tape lyrics/threads and didn't find the one I've been trying to remember.

The one I want begins:
