Hi All

I am currently updating the Ceilidh / Barn dance Clubs section at the Yorkshire Folk Arts directory at http://www.yorkshire-folk-arts.com
Entries are free and open to all barn dance / ceilidh clubs in Yorkshire and what used to be Humberside ( North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire).
Please do not send information to this list, an online form is available at
http://www.yorkshire-folk-arts.com/directory/form.html
or contact me direct at jim@yorkshire-folk-arts.com

All the best

Jim Hancock

Sad that there's only one in East Yorkshire even though I'm not much of a fan of 'walking in patterns to music', which is how I remember far too many folk dance classes. Maybe things have improved - or maybe they haven't which is why there are so few clubs!

cheers
M

Come and see (dance to) Katies Quartet in Brighouse (scroll down to 17th April 2010) this Saturday and you can judge for yourself. If you can restrain yourself to a walk I'd be very surprised.
Chris.

Ah.... Guest M was obviously never taught country dance by Miss Oldfield, (Grassmoor junior school 1954) now there was a woman to gladden the heart of many an 9 year old. sadly she went off and got married in the "long holidays" Oh fickle woman.
