I suspect Artful has the good oil on your problem; I've occasionally been cught with the when I started using HTML. It was at that time I realised I couldn't edit the text in the Preview pane but had to go the the text in the Message box to edit.

Your code is correct and it posts in the thread as bold. I mean BOLD.

And this showed up bold in preview. If you are not getting bold to appear in preview try some other HTML codes to see if they do such as i or font color = red or some such. It may be your display settings.

Bolding comes out bold in preview for me. Maybe you were looking at the text in the message entry box rather than up at the previewed text--that would be my guess. The message entry text should still show the raw HTML, so you can correct it if need be.

The font in preview is not the same as in final post, it does bold but not as noticeably.

Ok it shows bold here but not in preview, am I doing something wrong in preview?
