Subject: My eternal search for a song

I am looking for a song that I have only heard once or twice in my life. I have been led to believe that it is entitled "the drinking song" and is by an obscure band, whose name I of course cannot remmember, that I think is from canada. I rememmber that part of the chorus goes as follows: "Drunk on the lawn, in a nuclear dawn, my senses finally blurred." Various verses describe how drinking is like war, and having his friend die of alcohol on the sundeck. The tune comes back to haunt me every so often, and I am afraid I will never be free of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
