Fantastic news Sylvia. It just gets better and better.

There are still a small handful of tickets left to see not only Martin Carthy, (fingers crossed) an open spot from Keith Kendrick and Sylvia Needham, but also these lovely girls:

ADVENTURES IN PRE-MODERN MUSIC pt 12: A Farewell to the Deptford Arms, May Day SPECTACULAR

with MARTIN CARTHY and Morris dancing from THE BELLES OF LONDON CITY

Saturday May 1st, 8pm,

Tickets £8/£5 from: http://www.wegottickets.com/event/64878

at Deptford Arms, 52 Deptford High Street, SE8 4RT

----------------------------------------

MARTIN CARTHY (MBE). A pivotal figure whose powerful vision of the tradition was instrumental in defining the 1960s revival and shaping how folk music has been understood ever since. With a career too prolific and illustrious to do justice to in this space he has been part of the Watersons and Waterson:Carthy, (husband of Norma Waterson, father to Eliza Carthy) Steeleye Span, Brass Monkey, worked with Dave Swarbrick, and of course is perhaps best known as a solo performer.

"Arguably the greatest English folk song performer, writer, collector and editor of them all" - Q Magazine

http://www.watersoncarthy.com/id22.htm

Adding a conversely corseted and energetic performance, THE BELLES OF LONDON CITY will be on hand to remind us it's May Day.

This will be our last Deptford Arms show so catch it now in all its bizarre glory before it's gone forever.

Love K&C. x
