Subject: RE: Fanny Crosby hymn-sing in Seattle Sunday From: Haruo Date: 28 Apr 10 - 03:03 AM Okay I listened to the Watersons' and am of the opinion that it is not related to Fanny's apart from the phrase "the good old way". |
Subject: RE: Fanny Crosby hymn-sing in Seattle Sunday From: Haruo Date: 27 Apr 10 - 12:42 PM I haven't heard the Watersons' "Good Old Way"; the words aren't the same but until I hear it I won't know if it's related. |

Subject: RE: Fanny Crosby hymn-sing in Seattle Sunday From: Ron Davies Date: 27 Apr 10 - 07:22 AM Which "Good Old Way" was that? Is it the one the Watersons sing? Is there a connection to Fanny Crosby--or is it just a wonderfully rousing song? Thanks. Ron |

Subject: RE: Fanny Crosby hymn-sing in Seattle Sunday From: Haruo Date: 27 Apr 10 - 05:16 AM The PowerPoint we threw on the wall can be downloaded in PDF here. Attendance was not huge, but we raised about $300 for our three mission causes. Every little bit helps. And those who came had a good time. The next one, Evergreen Hymn-Sing #4, tentatively entitled "Foot-Stompin' Hymns", will be in October, probably the 10th or 17th. Same place, same time etc. I think. Haruo |

Tonight is both Kat Eggleston in a Northwest-Seaport-sponsored concert and Japanese Baptist Church's annual Sukiyaki Dinner and Cultural Program (with an Okinawa-ken focus this year), both of which I'd dearly love to attend but getting ready for the hymn-sing is the priority... |
Subject: RE: Fanny Crosby hymn-sing in Seattle Sunday From: maeve Date: 24 Apr 10 - 02:45 AM That would be so much fun. I'd join you if I could; enjoy! maeve |
