I am listening to their videos and like them. T his one is in a dialect. It sounds pretty similar to English to me..more than others I have heard...they have a nice song about an emigrant situation.

Someone asked why do other European groups speak with more of a British accent whilst Dutch/Netherlanders speak more like Americans..and someone else said it is because Americans speak English with a Dutch accent because of our Dutch history. mg

I think you will find, it's becuase the Dutch watch American films and series etc without any dubbing. They put sub titles in Dutch. So consequently they learn to speak English with an American twang so to speak.
However if you take countries like France and Germany, they dub (or used to) the American accent and voice over with their own language and use american subtitles. It's really weird to see the stars speaking so fluently in a foreign language, whilst mouthing in the American language. Spoils the films completely.

Friesian. It is where our English language came from, or so I am told.

Thanks for the link, mg. I listened to three or four Footwarmers videos. They are enjoyable.

I also enjoyed watching the cute kids.
