It's a "talking" blues song heard circa 1969. The lyrics I remember are: "Y'all don't even know that my name is Mo'." Any ideas?

Yup. Got it. Not certain of the actual title, but it's by Mose Alison, so you'll find it on one of his albums. 'Course the line is "...don't even know that my name is Mose". Been a long time since I've heard it but it's worth finding. Dynamite song as I recall.

That's great, Jeremiah. Could you possibly look up the actual name of the album (and song)? I'm not really acquainted with this artist and it might be a difficult thing to find in the stores without more info. Thanx!

Nope. Yer on yer own! :-)

I've only heard it on the radio, WAY back when Toronto's CHUM-FM was a non-formula "album rock" format. Marvelously eclectic programming, sadly missed these days.

Of course, IF I come across any info, I'll toss it in; but the previous post told you everything I know. One small additional bit - I believe Mose is generally considered a jazz artist.

Luck to you...

What a coincidence! That's where I heard it too. :-) Some Sunday morning, probably. David Pritchard, wasn't it? Whatever happened to him? He played some pretty eclectic stuff. Music without borders.
