Subject: RE: Iceland gathering From: GUEST,dinoplayer Date: 14 May 10 - 04:18 PM On top of old smokie All covered in ash My flight has been cancelled And I've run out of cash I've run out of euro's And my Krona has gone And as for my Stirling I'm afraid I have none So all I have left now Is a bottle of scotch And a polythene bag full Of volcanic rock So I've jumped on a trawler To make my way home Cause my dear merry England Is a volcano free zone |

Subject: Iceland gathering From: GUEST,Dinoplayer Date: 08 May 10 - 08:32 AM What a great time and what great new friends. The holiday started off well and just got better every day, Fond memories : Bill playing his banjo and blaming Gardon Broon for all our ills, Doug playing great guitar and singing really well, Letty singing like an angel, Skarpie and his wife for their wonderful hospitality, the mad Irishman, the chior from the Faroe islands, the schoolhouse where we stayed, the trips out during the day, the volcanoes were awesome, as were the waterfalls and the geysers. A baron and bleak landscape with the mountains and glaciers making a stunning backdrop. Where to next? Ray G. |
