Enoch's Hammer Folk Club
We are starting a folk club in the Colne Valley, West Yorkshire. It will be based at the Commercial (upstairs room) in Slaithwaite. All are welcome. The first night is on Friday 14th May at 8pm. If you would like to receive regular updates, please contact me with your email address and I'll add you to the mailing list, or join the Facebook group:

I hope lots of mudcatters will be able to make it along. If you can't make it this time, we will be running on the 2nd Friday of the month (except possibly for August). Hope to see you there. F

Great Enoch still shall lead the van
Stop him who dare, stop him who can.
Press forward every gallant man,
With hatchet, pike, and gun'.

'General Ludd's Triumph'.

I doubt if we'll make it to the first one. But will try to get to the next. That'll give me time to learn a luddite song

Hi There

If the organisers would like the new club listing in the Yorkshire Folk Arts Directory

http://www.yorkshire-folk-arts.com/directory/index.html

just fill in the online form.

If you would like to send me some blurb to jim@yorkshire-folk-arts.com I'll also add it to the news pages.

All the best

Jim Hancock

I made a mistake. The quotation is from the song 'The Cropper Lads'. Best wishes to the club. Burl.

Hi would you like me to run an article about the new folk club on my site? Send me some info by email (see link below) and a picture, and I will be happy to put it up, along with future events of happenings the cub become involved in.

I only started the site this month but I have already had over 1200 visitors to the site.

Hope to hear from you soon

Nicola
