Subject: RE: Easingwold N.Yorks From: stallion Date: 13 May 10 - 06:09 AM Friday night at the Tap & Spile, York. Me and the boys will be in prior to our trip to Ipswich but the session is a corker, Thompson's Arms is a really unexpected gem of an evening. |

Subject: RE: Easingwold N.Yorks From: Nick Date: 13 May 10 - 05:18 PM Tuesday there is a musicians only session in The Maltings in York itself. I's a very good real ale pub that has won lots of awards and has some very competent musicians in. If you like English - Irish - Scottish tunes and good beer it's worth the 12 mile trip. Good chips as well. You just miss the Black Swan (Folk Club of the Year 2009) York Weekend of folk 5 - 6 June which is excellent for lots of performers to listen to and lots of space to sing or play if you want. There is also the weekly folk club night (which is a Singers and Performers night on the 10th June rather than a performer) on Thursday 10th June which you could play or listen if you wanted. Monday you could watch the TV or wash your hair or something as the rest of the week is potentially quite full :) Find you some more if that's not enough. |
