Subject: RE: Help - Stolen Accordion -Liverpool - 3 May From: Surreysinger Date: 15 May 10 - 10:30 AM Just in case anyone wants to look there are pictures of the instrument up on the Facebooks Stolen Instrument Gallery already. (As to stolen instruments in Liverpool, I was advised by a resident that carrying a tina in it's box around the city centre was not a good idea, as there were those around who (a) would know what was in it and (b) have an eye to nicking it!!) |

Good luck - I know how it feels to lose a valued instrument |

Subject: Help - Stolen Accordion From: GUEST,Chris B (Born Again Scouser) Date: 13 May 10 - 04:21 AM I just received this message. Could folk keep their eyes peeled, please? Message reads: Hello all, I spoke to you on the phone this morning. Thanks for keeping an eye out for my box. Here is the description: Hohner 'Black Dot' Double Ray B/C Melodeon (button key accordion), lovely sounding old box, just had the bass reeds changed to Irish tuning. Rare, circa 1930's I think. Has had new bellows, and new pads put in to raise the action, a bit battered round the edges but still plays well. Colour black with 'Double Ray' and sun rays on front in green and white. Lost or stolen in Liverpool on Monday 3rd May. It was in a shiny black nylon bag with zip opening along top and 2 carrying handles ( Like a large ladies handbag or shopper) Thanks again - I will be delighted to hear of any leads at all as I'm totally devastated to have lost this lovely instrument.
