It looks like things are on schedule for sales at Folklife. There will be an official debut later on, but we really want to sell as many as possible at Folklife. There will be official pronouncements in a couple of weeks as to how to purchase on Internet etc. There will be a panel workshop put on at Folklife by Jon Pfaff, Saturday evening at 7:30 or so..check the schedule. The panel is not an official function of the CD itself, but will include many of the songs and singers...some unfortunately have other engagements and can not attend...

But if I say so myself, this is one great collection of songs and singers. If you follow maritime music, you have probably heard many of the singers as they have their own CDs out, are on the radio, perform at festivals etc. You might know a few of the songs, but some will be brand new to everyone.

It is a whole new genre of music..tugboat songs...I am hoping that a companion CD emerges from the east coast, perhaps including Great Lakes and Mississipi river etc.

Well, save your money because you will want to buy this...worth braving the crowds for at Folklife...mg

Mary, is it going to be at the usual CD sales venue? And what's it actually called?

I am not an official pronouncer so I will leave the official pronouncements to others...but it will have tugboat in the title for sure...and it will be at the usual cd sales area. What I don't know is if it can also be sold right there at the panel workshop. I know that usually it was not done but it seems that recently they have let people sell there...hope to see you at the panel...mg

Panel workshop will start at 7 PM (not 7:30) Saturday in the Shaw room. CDs should be available there and also of course in the regular CD area.
