Hi all,

I'm off to the Orkneys on May 27th, to MC at the Festival there - I've been twice in the past, and it's just wonderful!

I was wondering if anyone else is going - I know ELma who's on the commitee, and also many of the artists, including Lau, Cara Dillon, New Rope String Band, Tim O'Brien and Kris Drever, and Bella Hardy - and also some of the local artists as I've been twice before (Jo Philby, Saltfishforty, Wrigley Sisters (of course, and their wonderful shop in Kirkwall)m and Hullion.

But I wondered if any Mudcatters are venturing up north for the weekend? For the first time I'm flying - 2 flights each way! I must be mad!

Do let me know please, and we can meet up!

Ohhhh I wish!!! would so love to go....toyed with going.... but, ultimately, I'm skint... *sob*... so hopefully next year...

Went there several years ago - by accident! Had THE most wonderful day there. Unlikely I'll be there this year, but you never know....

It was great Jim, and the weather played along, apart from a shower or two on Saturday evening, it was lovely.
Sat outside the Ferry Inn and played in the sun, on Sunday afternoon.
Good music, good company, good beer.
