Subject: Larry Older - Live Concert
From: GUEST,Wally Macnow

Larry Older, who died in 1982, was a wonderful singer and Adirondack style fiddler. I've posted a concert that he did in Washington, DC in the late 1970s at

http://wallyvt.wordpress.com/2010/05/17/larry-older/

There are links to 28 mp3 files. With the exception of a period of moving microphones around when Mike Seeger came up on stage, most of the commentary is there.

I hope you like this as much as I do.

Wally

Thanks so much for posting this, Wally! I can't wait to hear it as time allows, which unfortunately won't be until the weekend or after.

In the meantime, here's some background info on Lawrence Older along with some more tunes and songs, and even downloadable sheet music!

Dave,

I sent them an email this morning letting them know that the files were there and they were free to take them to their site.

Thanks to Wally and Dave for the above links. I'm always on the lookout for tunes from the Middle Atlantic region, a section of the country that has some great traditional music but is often overlooked.
