Tech: AOL mail users - any problems loading?

I almost never log into AOL, it takes for ever to get logged in, so I just IE to access my mail.

These last two days, I see my emails listed by subject, but no indication of who the sender is.

Weird ...

I have been using the Web based version of AOL mail via my Mac using Safari for a couple of months now, and have had NO problems.
We have been using AOL for 17 years both the the UK & the US - and generally we have less problems now than ever before - and I have had the same user name (Actually 2 names) all that time!!

I cancelled my service 2 months ago except for my free e-mail address but am still being billed for the full service. Can't get to a person. I have my confirmation of cancellation. How do I talk to a person. This is so irritating

AOL is currently installing new equipment (new mail servers), which will improve our mail services. Unfortunately, this has resulted in some performance issues, especially during peak Internet hours. AOL is working towards resolving these issues at the earliest with minimum inconvenience to our users. The improvements that AOL is making to the back-end service will result in increased security measures and a better delivery system. Thank you for your patience.

I had the same problem with an AOL account a while back. In the end I gave up and incorporated the AOL messages into my Hotmail account.

I found it to be, for me, a problem peculiar to Mozilla - IE opened the account with no problem.

Been having problems for the past couple of weeks retrieving my e-mail, on both my home and work computers. Tried emptying the cache and deleting cookies per the suggested fixes on the aol mail help/blog site, but it is no better.

Wondering if it just me or if others are having problems.

Getting various messages, but the two most frequent are "try again later" and "log out, log back in, and try again.
