Sing Me Lovely Leitrim (video of Dan O'Hara)

I can't catch all the words in listening to this song.
Does anyone have the lyrics?

Thanks you.

Alice

At YouTube, you can take your pick of Dan O'Hara, Seamus Moore, Patrick Feeney, Sean Wilson, or Kevin McGowan singing this song. The words vary somewhat, but I have tried to stick close to what Dan O'Hara sings.

I transcribed this as well as I could, and inserted place names with the help of Wikipedia and Google maps. Corrections are welcome. (I couldn't find "Ormore," so I assume it is wrong.)

SING ME LOVELY LEITRIM

CHORUS: They'll sing about the Liffey flowin' through ol' Dublin town,
And talk about Killarney, the Mournes in County Down.
They'll praise glens of Antrim, and play The Galway Shawl,
Ah, but sing me Lovely Leitrim. It's the sweetest of them all.

1. Drumshanbo by Lough Allen, Manorhamilton so fair,
The river winding gently down to sweet ol' Dromahair,
Ormore(?) near Kiltyclogher, MacDermott* standin' tall,
God bless you, lovely Leitrim. You're the sweetest of them all.

2. Each Sunday in Rossinver we would sing and dance,
And then later to Glenfarne to the Ballroom of Romance,
Where Larry and the Avons used to play that famous hall.
Sure he'd sing you Lovely Leitrim, the sweetest of them all.

3. Now I'm over here in Boston where a lot o' things are false,
But it's great to hear an Irish voice and to dance an old-time waltz.
Sure I'm going back there shortly. I'm returnin' in the fall.
I'm going home to Leitrim. It's the sweetest of them all.

Larry, sing me Lovely Leitrim. It's the greatest song of all.

*There is a statue of Sean MacDermott (Seán Mac Diarmada) in Kiltyclogher.

Good job on the lyrics, Mr Dixon.

Regarding "Ormore", it's probably "Aghamore"... in Leitrim also but not really near Kiltyclogher.

The "Larry" referred to is the singer Larry Cunningham
