If it is a long list, I use 'find in page' a lot, and there are various quick scroll techniques. I suppose if I had 10 years of the 'quick jump' habit, I might feel differently. |

Subject: RE: What is the new dev.mudcat.org ? From: Jeri Date: 30 May 10 - 12:01 PM The 'Related threads' and 'Quickjump' at the top of threads. The main threads page doesn't seem to have changed much, mainly the top menu bar and fonts. I'm not sure I like the 'quickjump' in place of a simple list of posts, but I understand that it takes up less space. It's like storing files in a filing cabinet--you don't want them spread out all the time, but can easily open the drawer when you need them. I personally spend a lot of time opening the drawer. Others likely don't, and appreciate the tidyniess. |

Subject: RE: What is the new dev.mudcat.org ? From: Joe Offer Date: 30 May 10 - 01:51 AM Ayup.... He added many permanent improvements just recently. Most aren't visible, but improve functionality and reliability greatly. The dev site has always been there, but Max recently decided to make it public and solicit opinions. Opinions/Suggestions should be posted in this thread. I don't like the new logo and I'm not sure about the font, but I like the rest of it. -Joe- |

Subject: RE: What is the new dev.mudcat.org ? From: Joe Offer Date: 30 May 10 - 01:16 AM The differences are subtle, Michael, but significant. Take a look at the layout of threads (especially threads that have crosslinks like this one) and see what you think. -Joe- |
