Subject: Lyr Req: Donovan's Rambling Boy

Does anybody have the lyrics to Donovan's song "Rambling Boy"? I would like to see them to help me figure out what the song means. This song has the same tune as Dylan's "It Ain't Me, Babe," (I think) and the chorus goes something, like "I've become the rambling boy/ like the wind that blows so free/ Yes, I've become the rambling boy/ so rambling boy I'll be." It appears on his album "Catch the Wind," or "What's Bin Did and What's Bin Hid."

googling got this:

Ramblin' boy

       D                                  A          D               A    D

1. As I linger on this windy road, my suitcase in my hand,

       D                                        A       D             A    D

I think on how, some hours ago, together we did stand.

          D                                     A             D                         A    D

Bewildered tears lay in your eyes, as you tried to make me see,

          D                                    A       D                        AD

that if you gave your love to me, I could leave so easily.

          D                                     A                  D               A    D

Cos I am called the ramblin' boy, like the wind that is so free,

          D                                     A         D                A D

yes, I am called the ramblin' boy, so ramblin' boy I'll be.

       D                               A    D                     A      D

2. I turn my collar to the cold, I pull my cap down low,

   D                                        A            D          A   D

I sing this song I wrote for you, wherever I may go.

         D                                 A         D                      A    D

So I linger on this windy road, I hope your tears are dry,

                     D                                     A          D                        A   D

don't you never forget this ramblin' boy, no matter how hard you try.

          D                                     A                  D             A    D

Cos I am called the ramblin' boy like the wind that is so free,

          D                                     A          D                A   D

yes, I am called the ramblin' boy, so ramblin' boy I'll be.
