Subject: New music session in Rockland Maine From: GUEST,Julia L Date: 06 Jun 10 - 09:19 PM Just got back from a great new session/song swap at the Sailpower and steam boat museum on Sharp's Wharf in south Rockland. They are first and third sunday afternoons at 2:00. At this particular event we had several guitars,a cittern, three fiddles, an acoustic bass, a harp, a cello, two flutes and a mandolin (and lots of great voices)Everything from Irish to Bluegrass to fifties favorites were played. The place is wonderful- a fine spot to bring the family to enjoy the museums and a great waterfront lobster shack (delicious scallops!) here's the link http://www.sailpowerandsteammuseum.org/zindex.html |
