Mudcatters with access to London might like to know that on Saturday next (12th June) the Traditional Song Forum will be meeting at Cecil Sharp House as guests of EFDSS. The full programme for the day can be found on the TSF website, www.tradsong.org . In the morning (starting at 10:00) we will have our usual discussions on matters related to traditional song and, particularly, research being done by members into aspects of traditional song. The main feature of the day, though is a presentation of a number of films about traditional singing starting at 13:00. These will include:
* The Barley Mow (Blaxhall Ship)
* The Singer and the Song (Harry Cox and Sam Larner)
* The Ballad and the Source (Walter Pardon)
* A short film on Celia Costello
And, if time allows, some film from Doc Rowe's collection.
This meeting, like all TSF meetings, is open to all (usually without charge) so if you would like to come along please feel free to do so.
