That's what I hear on the Kieran Wade recording, but those aren't the lyrics Kieran posted above (we have no way of proving the post above actually came from Kieran Wade, but I'm guessing it did).

What a cracking song! Kieran would you mind if I added it to my reportoire, if possible I try to get the permission of the writer before I sing a song. I've just listened to Sean Keane's version thats played in DADGAD which if anything enhances the song in my mind, again a beautiful song.

I found a lovely song on youtbe by Sean Keane, the song is called Exile and the first few lines are something like this:
