For a while, YouTube had removed the "Download" option for the videos that you yourself had uploaded to the site. Today I just discovered that they haver restored that function. If you go to "My Videos" on your YouTube page and click "Edit" for one of your videos, you will now see a "Download as MP4" button for that video. This is great, because if you have lost a video file (e.g., hard drive crash or computer theft), you can now easily retrieve any videos you have uploaded to YouTube. |

I was used to seeing it whenever I would edit my video descriptions or settings, but then all of a sudden that "Download" button was nowhere to be found. I'm glad it is back now, though. |
