Subject: RE: Early music concert in Cheadle Hulme From: Dave the Gnome Date: 10 Jun 10 - 10:49 AM Weelkes & Praetorius are included I speed read that as Whelks and Praties. Wonder if that is what early musicians ate... Sounds good to me to - and just down the road. May well get there. Even without the seafood and chips:-) DeG |
Subject: RE: Early music concert in Cheadle Hulme From: sackbut Date: 14 Jun 10 - 10:28 AM They ate peascods, pears, chestnuts, figs, black pepper, pickle, jack pudding, oranges & lemons, sage leaf, beans, aniseed, and of course lots of maggots (an early form of stilton?). Who knows what we'll offer at the interval refreshments... |
