Oh Damn. He was one of my favourites.

I never forget how shocked I was to see him performing in the square in Bracknell some 15 years ago. I was excited as I was a fan of his, but was sad to see that his popularity had declined to that level. I managed to at least have a chat with him.

Rest In Peace Crispian.

Oh me too, I have both of his big hits, Pied Piper and You Were on my Mind. They've been well played.

RIP Crispian.
Jenny

I'm sorry to say that I thought "Pied Piper" sounded like a poor man's Donovan. But I do like the song a lot (I just like Donovan more). Sorry to hear he has passed away. May his memory be eternal.

Until yesterday, when I saw his obit in the NY Times, I thought Crispian St. Peters was a group, not a person...

He was related to some former Lib club Members and played for their private party. I never heard him play live, but spoke with him a few times when he visited the club. He was a very friendly man. He was understandably, much quieter after his stroke.

I loved both of those songs and even sang 'You were on my mind' in Folk clubs in the late 60s/early 70s.

I hope you have peace and thank you for your music, it made 'here' a better place.
