Subject: RE: Obit: Crispian St. Peters ('Pied Piper') From: Arthur_itus Date: 11 Jun 10 - 03:34 PM Oh Damn. He was one of my favourites. I never forget how shocked I was to see him performing in the square in Bracknell some 15 years ago. I was excited as I was a fan of his, but was sad to see that his popularity had declined to that level. I managed to at least have a chat with him. Rest In Peace Crispian. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Gqp6cGatmw&feature=related |

Subject: RE: Obit: Crispian St. Peters ('Pied Piper') From: mousethief Date: 12 Jun 10 - 03:49 AM I'm sorry to say that I thought "Pied Piper" sounded like a poor man's Donovan. But I do like the song a lot (I just like Donovan more). Sorry to hear he has passed away. May his memory be eternal. |

Subject: RE: Obit: Crispian St. Peters ('Pied Piper') From: Girl Friday Date: 13 Jun 10 - 08:10 PM He was related to some former Lib club Members and played for their private party. I never heard him play live, but spoke with him a few times when he visited the club. He was a very friendly man. He was understandably, much quieter after his stroke. |

Subject: RE: Obit: Crispian St. Peters ('Pied Piper') From: Brian May Date: 14 Jun 10 - 03:23 PM I loved both of those songs and even sang 'You were on my mind' in Folk clubs in the late 60s/early 70s. I hope you have peace and thank you for your music, it made 'here' a better place. |
