Lyr Req: One Grain Of Sand (by Pete Seeger)

DigiTrad:
BIG MUDDY
DON'T ASK WHAT A RIVER IS FOR
FLOWERS OF PEACE
I MIND MY OWN BUSINESS
MRS. ROOSEVELT
MY GET UP AND GO HAS GOT UP AND WENT
MY OLD BROWN EARTH
OH, HAD I A GOLDEN THREAD
OLD DEVIL TIME
ONE GRAIN OF SAND
PRECIOUS FRIEND
QUITE EARLY MORNING
SAILING DOWN MY DIRTY STREAM
SAILING DOWN MY GOLDEN RIVER
SOUR CREAM
TURN, TURN, TURN or TO EVERYTHING THERE IS A SEASON
WALKING DOWN DEATH ROW
WELL MAY THE WORLD GO

Please advise where I might quickly find the LYRICS to subject song. Internet sources preferred, as access to libraries is limited. Thanks, Jon

One Grain of Sand
Pete Seeger

One grain of sand,
One grain of sand in all the world.
One grain of sand,
One little boy, one little girl.

One grain of sand,
One little star up in the sky.
One grain of sand,
One little you, one little I.

One grain of sand,
One drop of water in the sea.
One grain of sand,
One little you, one little me.

One grain of sand,
One leaf of grass--on a windy plain.
One grain of sand,
We come and go again and again, again.

I love you so,
I love you so, I love you so.
I love you so,
More than you will ever, ever, ever, ever, ever know.

One grain of sand,
One little snowflake lost in the swirling storm.
One grain of sand,
I'll hold you alone and keep you warm.

One grain of sand,
One grain of sand on an endless shore.
One grain of sand,
One little life, who'd ask for more.

One grain of sand,
One grain of sand, one grain of sand,
One grain of sand,
One grain of sand, one grain of sand,

One grain of sand,
One little star up in the blue.
One grain of sand,
One little me, one little you.

Jon,

Whereabouts in PA? I live about 15 miles South of Gettyburg. There are a number of Mudcatters in the Philadelphia area, in fact that is the home of the Mudcat.

Roger in Baltimore (well, close to Baltimore)

Odddda recorded a version of one grain of sand in 1963 in her album one grain of sand. Similar tune and lyrics, any ideas about her source?

Here's the Odetta recording:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dne2tYXOBGc. Seems to me that it's just her take on the lyrics and melody written by Pete Seeger in 1955. Am I misunderstanding you, Jon?

Pete doesn't say much about the song in his Where Have All the Flowers Gone3? songbook, except that his audiences tend to fall asleep if he sings too many verses. It's a lullaby, after all.

I listened to Odetta's song. I can't imagine a little one going to sleep to that melody which starts out smoothly then skyrockets up and then comes back down.
