IIRC, this "magazine" was circulated to subscribers as a 5" reel to reel tape, with a bunch of mailing labels to send to next person. Unfortunately before the days of ubiquitous tape recorders, so it would be unlikely that many people dubbed copies for themselves.
You should also post this inquiry to Ballad list, assuming you
haven't already gotten access to the mother lode....
I would be very interested in seeing a list of contents, and
possibly interested in purchasing copies of some or all of the
recordings, if made available at a reasonable cost.
Wonder if CAMSCO would be interested ???

On 30th April, 1967, I took a Sheffield band The HillBilly Cats to appear in a London show that Jim promoted. I still have his letters from the time.

The HillBilly Cats are still performing in Sheffield.

Jim Marshall (of Brighton) has been an activist on the the folk & country music scene for decades:-

* After Folk Voice, recorded in his bedroom, in the late 1960's Jim and I became joint producers of the local BBC folk music programme Minstrels Gallery which ran weekly for 25 years. It ended up being networked to BBC Radios Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire and Solent.
* During this years he also shared the production/presentation of the same stations' country music which he shared with Neil Coppendale.
* For 42 years now, Jim and I have shared the editorship of The Folk Diary the listings magazine for folk, world and country music events in and around Sussex.
* For many years, Jim ran the highly successful folk club at the Stanford Arms in Brighton which moved in its later years to the Springfield Hotel in Brighton
* He was the main organising mover throughout the existence of the British Country Music Association (BCMA) producing their vibrant Newsletter. Though the organisation and the newsletter are now gone, he still circulates an interesting monthly newsletter on the British Country Music scene.
* With the late Mike Storey, he organised annual trips for music enthusiasts to the USA. There were over 35 of these over the years. The one that we went to went to Houston, Lafayette, New Orleans, Gulf Shores and Montgomery - all running as smoothly as clockwork.

.... just a few of the things that he has been involved in over the years. I have been involved in many projects with the man over the years and we have never had a cross word. He is the easiest person in the world to work with whilst remaining committed and enthusiastic.

Maybe Bill Clifton saying about Kiyohide on the tape.

Bill Clifton and I are looking for anyone who has copies of FOLK VOICE, a magazine in tape format produced in England ca. 1960-72. It was circulated in the USA by Herb and Helene Wolf of Bronx, NY. A 1960 issue included an interview of Mike Seeger by Bill Clifton. A year or so later it included an interview I did with Neil Rosenberg on the history of bluegrass. This magazine needs to be archived. Who has copies?
