Subject: FOUR FOOLS 25 - 27 JUNE - WHO'S GOING
From: GUEST,Old Traddie
Date: 16 Jun 10 - 06:31 AM

OK, who's going to this wonderful weekend. I must admit I can't wait. All of my favourite people, Kevin and Ellen Mitchell, Donal Maguire, Peta Webb and Ken Hall; Will Noble and John Cocking; Quartz; John Morris; Sid Calderbank; Trio Threlfall; Jim Mageean; Martin Ellison and Phil Harty; Pam Bishop; Bill Whaley and Dave Fletcher. WOW what a great line up. And all in aid of the British Heart Foundation. Real Ale and Good Food at the Crown. What more could we want. Don't miss it.

Looking forward to it, but I can't find a festival website with this year's details on. Can someone advise? Many thanks.

Hi everyone

Fred, there is no website for this event. It has just been spread by 'word of mouth' as there were quite a few people who said that we had to do 'something' over Four Fools weekend. So this is it. A timetable of events will be available after the weekend if anyone wants to email me at four.fools@virgin.net

Events will start at 7.30 on Friday evening. With it being Four Fools the artistes appearing are, as ever, second to none (and there will be a couple of extras as well) and there will be plenty of time for singing.

This weekend is all in aid of the British Heart Foundation with everyone giving their time and services.

Everyone is welcome (there are still some tickets left), if you are coming please let me know so tickets can be kept for you as numbers are limited.

Come and make the rafters roar.
Cheers everyone
Angie

Angie - I wasn't able to make it this year, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you may do something similar next year? I enjoyed the festival greatly last year, and would love to make my way up to your neck of the woods again next year . The lineup you've got there sounds great ... I hope everyone has a great time. :-)

Hope this weather keeps up as there is a large elevated patio area at rear of pub. :O)

Will be wonderful anyway. See some of you there.

We're all set for a good weekend folks. The event is all in aid of The British Heart Foundation. All our artistes have kindly and willingly given their time to take part. £15 for a weekend's entertainment is certainly a good deal. If people want to come just for the Friday evening the price will be £5 and for the Sunday only, £5. The day on Saturday is £15. So you get a great deal. Ken and I have bought tickets, so it must be good.

As regards car park, we have limited space and do ask campervans etc not to use the car park. This is the first time we have tried this sort of weekend and we do not want to upset the regulars (we really want to encourage them to buy tickets and take part).

Looking forward to seeing you all at the weekend. Schedule now available from four.fools@virgin.net Any more queries please get in touch.

Cheers
Angie

Hi Angie

We will be OK to park the campervan on the carpark during the day won't we?

Programme looks absolutely brilliant BTW

Hi Richard
There is space opposite the pub for campers to park during the day. (Not legal for overnight). Please keep the access to the lane clear. There is also a parking area if you go under the bridge and a bit further up (on the left I think). This means you don't have to fight your way up the slope to the car park.

Many thanks for your comments on the schedule. I'm pleased with it.

I should be at the Crown from 3 p.m. onwards on Friday.

Cheers
Angie

Yep, its getting closer. Just a note about camper vans who aren't using the campsite. Unfortunately we do not have space on the car park for people to park up for the weekend. There is an area under the railway bridge and on the left where people can park. As with any parking area this is at driver's own risk. Originally this event was just going to be a day but it has spread over the weekend.

Really looking forward to seeing and hearing everyone at the weekend. We'll make the rafters roar and rail lots of money for the British Heart Foundation at the same time.

See you Friday
Cheers
Angie

Just to say, there is still one double room available at the Crown for Friday and Saturday nights and one double room available for Saturday night only. Just in case anyone would like B&B
Cheers and see you tonight.
