Subject: RE: BS: How Many BP Executives? From: Q (Frank Staplin) Date: 18 Jun 10 - 01:25 PM Leadfingers, Transocean keeps the semisubmersible rig positioned, does all necessary maintenance, runs the mess hall, sees that sheets are changed, operates communications. They are not on the drill floor, which was manned by the BP drilling crew. They do not drill the well. When cementing or well survey is done, technicians from Haliburton (cement) and others may be present. Slumberger was on call. |

Subject: RE: BS: How Many BP Executives? From: Leadfingers Date: 18 Jun 10 - 02:24 PM Thanks Q - It just seemed to be ALL Anti BP , and NO mention of any other company ! |
Subject: RE: BS: How Many BP Executives? From: Bill D Date: 18 Jun 10 - 02:30 PM Early on, there was lots of mention of other companies, and reports on big arguments about how to do the disconnect from the well so the drilling platform could move away and pumping platform be attached. **Someone** decided to overrule the cautious ones and take the shortcut....which went **boom**. I'm betting the decision came down to one man who controlled the planning for getting the pumping rig connected. So far, no one has named names. |
