I believe I am right that there is a beer festival at the Good Intent Fri/Sat/Sun 25/5/7 Jun 2010 (John Street, Rochester, Kent, England) with a John Barden sinaground Sat and a Ruff'n'Ready one Sun, albeit I find no relevant fred.

I also believe that Royston will be attending. I cannot speak for noisysprog nor drummer.

There is indeed a Folk and Ale weekend at The Good Intent this coming Saturday and Sunday (26th. and 27th.).

Saturday, 26th.:

1 p.m. Singaround hosted by John Barden

5 p.m. Wolfshead & Vixen (Morris)

6 p.m. Tanglefoot (Appalachian dancing)

8.30 Jumbo Gumbo (Zydeco) (One hates to be a self-publicist (!), but you did ask :) )

Sunday, 27th.:

1 p.m Singaround with Ruff 'n' Reddy

We are sticking close to home this weekend. I've still not recovered from Knockholt. We need to do some stuff to caravan, I need to do some stuff to flat and about a truckload of ironing.

And the Leigh Festival is this weekend. Probably only do Saturday afternoon and evening.

Nothing wrong with van, barring left tail light needs replace. We will do that. The Caraman (service guy) offered us a newer jockey, so we may collect and fit. And will doing some cleaning and organising pre Sidmouth. Oh and figure out how to get oven going.

Since it is stored more than 20 minutes away, we need to plan and use time there wisely.

Surprised it needs a whole tail light assembly: can't the contacts be cleaned or something? Yes a better jockey would be nice but be careful, if the tyre size is too big the wheel fouls on things and is hard to park, I made that mistake on my van. They are only about £30 on ebay or in camping world.

Oven is dead easy. Make sure the gas isolator is not isolating it, turn up the temperature, push the button down to allow gas through and crawl inside with a lighted match (or taper to save your fingers). When it lights, hold the gas valve down for another 10 seconds, crawl out, shut oven door, and look for eyebrows.

It's as easy as the gas fire and that only took you a day to master, with Royston's help, no?

The caraman says he has dozensof jockeys due to people replacing with motor caravan movers. sure he will have something suitable.

we still have difficulty with the heater, will eventually get the knack.

Sat sitting in the full sun drinking the occasional beer (but a lot of orange squash 'cos driving) today and sat in the full sun drinking beer (not driving) yesterday and folking from noon each day. Perhaps should have used some sun tan oil. Tingling slightly. Otherwise two great days at the Good Intent.

Sadly few players and singers - where were you all?

Now I'm knackered, shedloads of work to do tomorrow, and can I efffin sleep?

A lovely afternoon. Pity there were so few of us, but a combination of extreme heat / football, may have been the cause. Can't believe how hot my beer got. It tasted lovely when it was cold, but it ended up much like black tea. The addition of some ice cubes helped to make it drinkable. That, of course, would normally constitute a crime.
