A very big thank you to Mike and Di organising such an excellent weekend, the sings and the acorn folk club were absolutely great, the concert on satarday evening probably the best mix of styles we've seen for a very long time with Lauford finishing us off, and it was so good to see so many people there, probably the best attended yet all supporting the chosen charity.

"If you give Mike and Di a call I would thing they could probably organise a spot over the weekend for you..."

It may be possible, but that is not a safe assumption. WSFF has limited performing areas, and a full programme for those available.
Mike has already said he is not proposing to fit anything else in.

Check before setting out, but they will be very busy on Friday.

If you give Mike and Di a call I would thing they could probably organise a spot over the weekend for you, I'm sure that you will know a lot of the crew who go to this one, as I metioned before there's plenty of camping room. apart from us Welsh lot there will be some of the Cornish people there and of course Somerset and Devon.

The trio that I sing with ( www.myspace.com/shotdogs ) are looking for places to sing; small festivals etc in any part of the country. It would form part of our mini tour. Any ideas?... fund raisers or things like that maybe? We'll help out with anything.

Sal

And don't forget to bring your dancing shoes since I shall be back for 'business as usual' (after a break last year) with Herbaceous Border on the Saturday afternoon.
Border Morris for anyone to join in and dance....or play.... or watch

Square the Circle is correct. The festival will be back to using the one hall again this year. The second hall which we used for the first time last year is on long term hire to a local organisation, so is unavailable.

Just a quickie, not a plug. There is no worse feeling as a festival organiser than when you realise the date you have been forced into clashes with a good friends festival! We will be working hard to avoid this next year so we can get to Mike and Di's weekend!

Sounds just like the wonderful Four Fools weekend I am going to this weekend.(See other thread) All the singing you can do and some wonderful artistes to. Small, friendly, what could be better.

Will try and see if I can get down to Somerset the following weekend.

Cheers

Sorry we can not make it this year, a small but perfectly formed friendly festival. May the sun shine on you and save us a cream tea for next year!!
