Yes, welcome to Mudcat, SoundMan-
So, with a user name like that, do you have advice on using Mackey mixers?

Yeah, it's a strange problem, and I discovered the solution by accident. Our membership page on the main Mudcat Website is kaput, but it's working fine on our developmental ("dev") site. The trouble is, the "dev" site has no link to a membership page. So, here's your link:
http://dev.mudcat.org/member/EntryForm.cfm

Send me an e-mail if this doesn't work, and I'll set up a membership for you.

Did you enter a link for a public profile, as the error message alluded to? It might have been something you did, or perhaps not.

Another idea is to try the dev site, and try joining from http://dev.mudcat.org/.

Jeri, an admin, but I'm guessing (messing around until something works) on this.

Email joe@mudcat.org for help with this issue. I'd suggest putting Mudcat as part of your subject.

Best wishes,

maeve

Yes, but you may have to wait until evening until one of them picks up.

Thanks for the reply but have tried many different usernames, the error is always the same.

Is there a sysadmin out there ???

There is already a member named "soundman", I think (without caps). Try another user name.
