Bruce Molsky and Nic Gareiss!
Geff & I had the delight & honor to play tunes with Bruce here in California last week, and I called a dance, too... I'd love to do it again! And I've been wanting to catch Nic's dancing up close for ages.
Some lucky caller is gonna have a fun night!

Apparently, the old time dancing will be called to Bruce Molsky's fiddling. It's quite an attractive gig !

Might prove helpful Cathy but they are Western Square which tends to be rather formalised whereas I think you just need someone who can call to all abilities at once as in a ceilidh. However, maybe they can help if you get in touch.

There used to be a square dance group in Aberdeen called the "Aberdeen Kilt Kickers." Perhaps if you Google them something might come up. They were originally started by ex-pat Americans here for the oil, but some Scots were involved too.

Is anyone out there interested to call a square dance at the North Atlantic Fiddle Convention, Aberdeen ? The dance is on the evening of Thursday 15th July. The dance will be half old England and half New Engalnd. We have a caller for the old English dances but need a square dance specialist to call for about an hour. The band is a scratch band with Sophy and Emily Ball, Paul Burgess, Helmut Rheingans, Will Duke, and Scott Hartley.
