Special events this year include our Judges Concert on Friday night in Castleton Parish Church guests include Brian Miller, John Morran, Anne Neilson and Gordeanna McCulloch,and Matt Seattle.

A chance for the village and festival go-ers to hear our judges do what they do best.

Hi Kathy, we will be there as usual, for the whole wekend as we're on holiday. Geting ready for the border ballad competition and looking forward to Ann & Gordeanna's ballad workshop on Sunday.

Looking forward to seeing you and Sally...

and a special event for this year that Richard has mentioned a ballad workshop with Gordeanna and Anne.....on Sunday. Places are limited and it is not covered by the weekend ticket. I have been a couple of their ballad workshops and it is not to be missed.

We will of course have all the usual sessions in the pubs and the now legendary Sunday afternoon concert compared by Norman Stewart.

As for the midgies or indeed midges playing bohrans; well its traditional ****BG****

Late night session for sure Johnny J!   As you know its more of a morning session by the time we finish it was 6am on the Monday morning last year, ach well who needs sleep?

we cant rustle up a Lord Mayors Parade but we will have the Copshie Common Riding.......everything they do at other ridings but on bike not horseback....has got to be seen it is wonderful and over the past ten years it has gathered its own traditions......brilliant

I do wish I could come - frankly Sheila Stewart is much more of an attraction than the Lord Mayor (who actually is not all bad - a real ale freak for example) but needs must.
