Subject: RE: Will Fly - Glory of Love From: Will Fly Date: 05 Jul 10 - 12:13 PM Just back from the Tchanquetas food & music festival in Arcachon (France) - thanks for the kind words. David - I do believe it was the great Whizz Jones you're thinking of - still going and playing as delightfully as ever. :-) |

Subject: RE: Will Fly - Glory of Love From: fat B****rd Date: 05 Jul 10 - 01:10 PM Thankyou, Olddude, I carried on from Will Fly to Chet Atkins and Floyd Cramer. A group in Grimsby used to play Windy and Warm when I were a lad. B***ered if I can remember their name. Thanks again |

Subject: RE: Will Fly and Ian Gardner Glory of Love From: Will Fly Date: 04 Oct 10 - 06:26 PM Dan, you've been naughty again... but thanks very much. The YouTube sound is a bit jangly - I posted the original mp3 (no video) here on my discussion board, along with two or three other pieces we did at an informal jam at my home. Ian's a very talented player and singer from Devon. He's on the left, and I'm on the right - musically in the speakers, that is! |

Subject: RE: Will Fly and Ian Gardner Glory of Love From: fat B****rd Date: 05 Oct 10 - 07:08 AM Lovely. Thank you very much. I will now proceed to learn to accompany myself singing it. |
Subject: RE: Will Fly and Ian Gardner Glory of Love From: Will Fly Date: 05 Oct 10 - 07:17 AM Thanks for the compliment, fB. Apologies for the little rhythmical hiatus about 3/4 of the way through - I thought Ian was finishing when he wasn't, slowed down and then had to get back to speed again! I should point out that Ian came over for the day while in the area - we'd never met before, just corresponded on the discussion board - and we recorded 6 tunes straight off with very little preliminary preparation. Sometimes these things work, sometimes not. In this case, we just had tremendous fun with 2 Zoom H2 recorders! |
