Oops, that Guest above was me. My Mudcookie keeps getting eaten! Please give Danny my very best. And what I said earlier: anyone who has not heard this incredible singer/storyteller/raconteur/historian owes it to themselves to get out and hear Danny. You won't regret it!! Kathy Westra (in the Washington, DC area)

Actually ... this is Ferrara, too lazy to bring up her own browser. Danny was here recently and to my amazement he's better than ever and Bill and I have always felt he's one of the best. Anywhere.

Danny has a terrific grasp of the historical periods and attitudes behind his songs. When he sings a song he pulls you into the time, the place, the situation -- he almost transforms himself into the original character who inspired the song. And he's one of the nicest people anywhere. At Augusta Vocal Week people used to vie for the chance to give him a ride to his next gig.

Don't miss this opportunity.

He did a great couple of nights in Scotland at the weekend. He said it may well be his last UK tour, so don't miss the chance.

It's been a couple of years since he's been to us at Four FOols and we are really looking forward to seeing (and hearing) him again.

All you Danny fans across the pond, please give Danny my very best. We last parted when he left for the U.K. after finishing the Washington, D.C. part of his tour. And for any of you who haven't yet had the treat of hearing, meeting, singing with this remarkable guy, get yourselves to one of his gigs. You won't be sorry! Kathy

Just to say we have the rare opportunity of hearing the wonderful Danny Spooner next Monday 12 July at Four Fools Folk Club, The Crown at Worthington, Standish, (Nr Wigan). He is on one of his visits to the UK from Australia. If you are in the area, don't miss this chance to see him. He comes with a wealth of stories and songs of his adventures over the years (and many traditional ones as well). Evening starts at 8.15 p.m. Admission only £5. A real treat in store for everyone. Danny is a great buddy of Martyn Wyndham Read.
Don't miss him if you get the chance.
