Subject: Welcome Cheshire Cat!
From: alanabit

Today I read the first post from my old friend Cheshire Cat on the Mudcat. He has been a good friend of mine for nearly thirty years now. We met when we both studied at Crewe and Alsager College in 1981. Cheshire Cat has been playing various instruments at folk clubs and festivals in various line ups for many years. He has also helped to organise clubs and sessions. I am sure many other Mudcatters will join me in welcoming him here.

Thanks to everyone for their warm welcome, and especially to my old mate alanabit for starting this thread. I'm delighted to have joined such a knowledgeable and welcoming group. To those in far-flung lands, I also look forward to crossing threads sometime soon; to those a little nearer, I'm based near Sandbach, and used to frequent the excellent pubs of Knutsford a few years ago.

Smile, C.C., so we can see ya! Welcome (from Michigan, USA) to an often strange and sometimes wonderful virtual circle of people.

Mad house it is, but - it has to be said - a very erudite madhouse.

Mr Red's Mid West that's Gloucestershire and attached bits (and bits attached thereto). If you venture down this way consult my pages for sessions/clubs/festivals etc. I cover bits of Shrops (south of Shrewsbury).
