Nope. Different tune...The one I'm thinking of has a definite 6/8 feel to it.

The tunes Darling Ould Stick and Teddy O'Toole are the same.
Barry Gleeson recorded Darling Ould Stick on one of his albums; Path Across the Ocean or I Heard A Bird at Dawn, both of these albums are excellent and well worth buying. Barry has a unique style and is one of the best proponents of Irish traditional singing around, his is the only recorded version of Darling Ould Stick that I know of.

Interesting question. I seem to remember hearing the song "My Ould Stick" - or a title very similar - a few years ago but have no idea of the tune used.

There appears to be a copy of it in THIS BOOK but not freely available.

One of our tunnelling experts will no doubt locate a copy! I'd be interested to see the song again, also.

Anyone know where I can find sheet music for an old Irish tune titled "Darling Ould Stick" or possibly "Teddy O'Toole?"
