Subject: Is this drummer at the right gig? From: John MacKenzie Date: 23 Jul 10 - 04:32 AM Crazy drummer I just love this guy, he's crazy in the way, only drummers can be ! |
Subject: RE: Is this drummer at the right gig? From: Will Fly Date: 23 Jul 10 - 04:48 AM LOL! For a moment I thought it was actor Dan Goodman in action. What a wonderful nutter! Right on the beat, though, in spite of all the windmilling. |

Subject: RE: Is this drummer at the right gig? From: Bobert Date: 23 Jul 10 - 08:00 AM There is actually a little method to his madness... The "windmill" tchnique allows him to keep his sticks on beat... Think of Pete Townsend... He uses the technique on his guitar... Solid drummer, however... B~ (former drummer, still play drums with feet in one man band) |

Subject: RE: Is this drummer at the right gig? From: Rob Naylor Date: 23 Jul 10 - 09:19 AM Looked crazy....sounded OK though...bit too much cymbals for my taste, but otherwise absolutely fine (I'm from the Maureen Tucker school of drummer appreciation...prefer them very light on the cymbals). |

Subject: RE: Is this drummer at the right gig? From: GUEST,Guest Betsy Date: 24 Jul 10 - 11:55 AM With all that exercise and burning up calories - you'd think he'd be a bit slimmer. Fun to watch ( for a few minutes only ) and sounded though he kept perfect beat - each one to their own. |
Subject: RE: Is this drummer at the right gig? From: EBarnacle Date: 24 Jul 10 - 12:17 PM He heard somewhere about drum machines and is putting on a show to make sure he is not replaced by one. |
Subject: RE: Is this drummer at the right gig? From: Willie-O Date: 24 Jul 10 - 03:21 PM Like to see what he can do with (to) a bodhran. My theory is that last thing he remembers is he went out drinking after his last Metallica tribute band gig, a guy handed him a pamphlet in a bar and started talking, and the next thing our friend knew, he woke up on a church stage in front of a giant US flag, wearing gold lame... W-O |
Subject: RE: Is this drummer at the right gig? From: Waddon Pete Date: 24 Jul 10 - 04:48 PM That's awesome......it takes real skill to perform like that! |
Subject: RE: Is this drummer at the right gig? From: Lonesome EJ Date: 24 Jul 10 - 08:08 PM I love the guy, cheap cymbals and all! The frontman is a dip, of course. |
