Subject: RE: Pierre Le Chapeau /Sidmoiuth From: Pierre Le Chapeau Date: 26 Jul 10 - 09:39 AM Unfortunately Crow my dad is 86 and wont use sticks? Dogged determination. 4 months ago he went arse over head and fractured his cheek bone. He also suffers from Dementia after the first fall we decided to put him into residential care which costs £800 a week which he pays for. (Above all he likes the home because he has company which is a tremendous reassurance for me and my sister) but it does not stop him falling over. During the day the staff make him use sticks or a frame but this incident happened while he was in his apartment. Regards Pierre. |

Subject: RE: Pierre Le Chapeau /Sidmoiuth From: Rafflesbear Date: 24 Jul 10 - 07:25 PM Pete, I have personal experience of people's differing attitudes to ageing parents some of which are downright callous. It's warming to see that you are not only a fun person but a responsible and caring one 10 out of 10 RB |

Subject: RE: Pierre Le Chapeau /Sidmoiuth From: Pierre Le Chapeau Date: 24 Jul 10 - 06:02 PM I have spoken today too Elizabeth the Team Leader for the Ham Car Park who I was assigned to work with and she was very understanding and simply said that next year I would be more then welcome. I just cant believe this has happened I have me pass to the camp site and me assigned work and me bags been packed since last week. Under the circumstances I can only be tolerant because at the end of the day my father in the past has been more then tolerant to me and has bailed me out of god knows what in the past? Perhaps this is payback time. Thank you all for your concern Regards Pierre. |
