Subject: Review: Roger McGuinn - On Tour From: voyager Date: 25 Jul 10 - 12:58 AM Roger McGuinn delivered a tour-de-force tonight here in Denver (Swallow Hill show). Highlights included narrative folk history from Chicago roots to NY Village to LA folk rock launch pad for the Byrds. Beautiful tenor voicing, 12 string and 7 string guitar showmanship and the bell-ringing Rickenback sound. The live performances of Chestnut Mare and 8 Miles High stood out in the 2 hoiur show. Setlist to follow. Voyager |
